Default How many strokes on a pasted strop

So, a person has a pasted strop. Now what? How many strokes, on average, should a person perform on a CrOx pasted strop to maintain sharpness and how often? Thanks, guys.

Its going to depend on the level of sharpness your razor has now and the qualities of the particular razor. In general, for me, when I use the CrO strop I'll do about 20 complete strokes and test. If need be I'll do 20 more but for a touchup 20-30 seems to do the trick for me.

I usually do 10-15 strokes when I feel that the edge has lost a bit of sharpness. If that doesn't do it I will add more passes. You may find that you need to do more or less than that depending on how far "off" the blade has gone. As thebigspendur points out, there are several variables that will influence how many passes are required.

Thanks, guys. I was not sure if I should do more than 5-10, but now I feel comfortable with a few more. Take care.

I do around 10, then test. Of course, I may have done 10 on 1.0 Diamond first....
IMO, you can use crox for touch ups, when your blade starts to pull or drag, much like you would a barber hone, The only thing you have to watch for is the edge rolling after a while.
