    Default Illinois 835 linen?

    Anyone know what the second fabric strop on an Illinois 835 is made out of? It says "fine linen finish" so I assume it is linen, but I've read a few places that most manufacturers call a fabric strop linen no matter what it is. The material is really pretty stiff.

    Anyway, I get much better results using that rather than the webbing on my new SRD. I've promised the Illinois to someone else, so I'd like to find something similar to replace the webbing on my SRD with. I thought about ordering a linen replacement from TM, but not sure if it really is similar to the fabric on the Illinois.
