Default Who needs a second component...

...when you've got three single component strops!

Here is my strop setup. Tony Miller Smooth Cotton, Latigo, and Horsehide. I do 60/40/40 laps before each shave.

Beautifully built - stropping on these is simply a joy.

Anyway, just wanted to post this because I used to have one 2-component strop, and I am really enjoying the three single component setup.

Nice Setup! I have two of Tony's 2-component strops and I love them. The first is Latigo/Cotton and the second is Horsehide/Linen. Most days I progress through all of them in the following order: Linen, Cotton, Latigo, and then finish on the Horsehide. I have actually considered redoing them with the two cloth pieces together and then the two leathers together. Maybe someday I'll convert these into single component strops like yours as it might make for quicker changes between strops.

    Thanks for the idea.
