I went away for the weekend and used an electric, I know, I know, first off, it was a gift, and I only used it maybe 5 x. I really didn't feel like packing up all that gear. I do have a few travel strops and if you really wanted to, you could pack a regular strop, it'll go on any doorknob...

I understand, Are there any other members that can help a brother out nearby? We have lot's of members in Ohio and MO.

That's what I was thinking. Just lay the strop out, and don't fold it...Especially if you have some of the smaller 2 inch jobs...

If all you want is a strap, any strap will do. Your wife's handbag strap, the straps on her shoes, your watch strap, an octopus strap. I mean, straps abound. Here a strap, there a strap, everywhere a strap strap.

However, if you intend to use the strap to strop, then you'll probably want a strop.

I've taken my normal hanging strop on my travels and they will be fine as long as you dont fold them. They dont take up much room in a bag.
