    Hi Ryan,

    could be that you were a little generous last time you applied that paste to the strop. You could try and working that excess paste into your strop by rubbing it with the palm of your hand. From your description it would not be that much excess paste, so the working-in procedure should help.0

    Sunday night, during the chat session, I asked Randy Tuttle about how the appearance of the past should be. My understanding of his response is that it should be almost "see through", i.e., a very thin layer. If you are getting a large residue building up on your razor, there is too much paste.
