Thanked: 121No stropping after honing was not good for me, regardless of the finisher (J-nat, escher, Guangxi, coticule, Nani 12K). Rough shave,HHT wanting, etc. Stropping always gave me a keener,gentler edge. As always, YMMV.

I've been stropping on something else lately. It's not very long, and you have to pull it really tight to get enough length to get a good pass. The only problem is that if you nick this strop it really changes how you approach life. It's important to do this after using the stones. It is actually a good idea to do this stropping a good distance from the stones if possible.
