I made a strop holder from an oak rail mount for a stair rail and a drawer handle I bought building center.

I drilled holes to mount the handle; I then used a keyhole router bit and plunge router to add two sets of keyholes to the back of the wall stop; one for mounting vertically and the other for mounting horizontally.

This seemed to be a good choice for mounting my strop to the wall.
