Those red Imp Strops are top of the line pieces. I have one myself. As long as the leather is smooth and supple you don't need to do anything. If you want you can apply some neatsfoot oil very very sparingly or just rub the oil from the palms of your hands into it. As far as the cloth goes, some hot water and soap and a scrub brush will do the trick.

Along with this above, I would make sure any flaps where the strop was nicked were either removed or superglued down so they wont grab the razor.

I've got a red imp too. I remember old time barbers had them when I was a kid. I liked the image on them so it stuck in my mind. Maybe that is why I ended up with all of this shaving gear ? The devil made me do it. Great strop you got there. Enjoy it.

With any strop you use the finished side so yes the one with all the writing on it is the one you use.

It looks to be in good shape, as the other's said, if it feels ok, do nothing, just rub it with your hand, or use a tiny, tiny bit of neetsfoot oil. too much and you'll screw it up.
Maybe it's the pics, but the linen looks fine. You can hand wash the linen in a sink w/Woolite, something gentle. it can be dried in a towel, with something heavy on top, like books, to press it down, and help it keep it's flatness...
