Thread: Where's the handle?

I put a 1" brass hook into the underside of my bathroom countertop. My countertop does NOT go wall-to-wall, so I was able to put the hook 'around the corner' on the side. The strop hangs from the hook and I hold the other end up to use it.

Also, even though my strop had a brass ring, I hold the leather itself above the ring. This prevents the strop from twisting in use.

I actually put in two hooks and I hang my paddle strop out of the way on this second hook.

I'll agree and say that IME the handle is quite unnecessary.

Thanks, everybody. I wound up getting Tony's #2 Heirloom model. I can't wait to try it out...
