    Thumbs up

I can vouch for pixelfixed loom strops. I have one and the man is an absolute craftsman. Beautiful workmanship all the way around.

Can't find the hard wool felt, but picked up a sheet of synthetic hard felt (PSA backed) from a craft shop for $1. Cut an 8x3 section & stuck it to a piece of balsa. Sprayed w/ CBN & it works great.

I've really soured on balsa lately, I have to say. Glazes way too fast (felt allows swarf to get trapped in the fibers instead of remaining on the surface--just like we use linen strops) & leaves kind of a harsh edge. By contrast, today's shave (on my least favorite razor) was not only super sharp, but unbelievably forgiving--no weepers, no moles cut open, no blood, no burn, no campfire tales about sharp=harsh. Just a very smooth, effortless shave.

Lately I have also begun appreciating the improvement in my edges when I do about 10 laps on hanging felt treated with .25 micron diamond spray and then do 100 laps on SRD English Bridle leather. It really spiffs up a good edge to be a better edge. I like to be clean shaven and this is doing the trick quite well for me.

CBN works great on balsa, works best on nano cloth

Am reticent to use any woven material for pastes as I feel you get a rasping effect due to the peaks and valleys of woven material,(look at some under magnification) may be wrong tho.
    What's finished w/ the DMT 325?

Well, to each his own, but I've never really found balsa to be super consistent w/ CBN for me. It worked for me for quite a while w/ crox, though. Probably a YMMV thing. I really need to try the nanocloth stuff when I'm not so broke. Does it have any give to it or is it basically flat?

Very OT I admit, but if it's you, how are you liking that strop in your YouTube video? Did a search for that make & would love to buy one, again when I'm not so broke.
