It is great stuff, I no longer need to hone the razors in my rotation.

I'm finding what I'm doing these days is either a few swipes on CBN every other shave to keep it there, or allow it to slip slightly & see how long I can keep it going by just regular stropping. I'm avoiding doing a lot of linen stropping w/ these (maybe 15 max before shaving only) as I find it degrades the sharpness slightly. Still shaves great after lots of linen ( I'd put it sharp Jnat level), but not what it can be is all. Usually off the 0.25 diamond slurry, I palm strop 30 or so times to remove the false edge, do 15 swipes on the CBN & palm strop again. Nothing else. I don't even use a regular strop until after 1 shave. Still having fun experimenting w/ this stuff!

I found out the hard synthetic craft felt I was using was actually degrading the edges--I suspected I wasn't getting 100% out of this stuff, so I sprayed the backside of my TM linen (the front side is still clean). I took a razor that was pulling a bit & did a total of maybe 25 strokes over the course of a shave. It ended up being just about my smoothest, sharpest edge to date. This stuff is incredible, but the cheap felt it turns out did not work at all. Lesson learned!

Try some craft foam, thinner is better. Let dry and mist with distilled H20. Shave off the edge, no leather.
