My Husky loves to play tug of war so I just hook the strop to him and yell mush and he pulls it as tight as it needs to be. But now he wants more biscuits as payment.
Actually I pulled the center hinge pin in the door up a tad and hook the strop to that.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I have my strop in my bedroom, attached to hook about chest high. This is the height I found most comfortable but your mileage may vary.

Mine is snap hooked to an eyehook screwed into my bathroom door casing (very small powder room). The bottom of the strap is waist level and the top of the strop is at the middle of my belly (slight upgrade). I stand off to the side a bit as it seems more natural than going straight up and down in front of me.
