Since stropping wrong can ruin your edge and send you to the hone for an hour or more, Think about what might happen if you have hard, creased or spotty leather.

I'd use one of those to strop my worst enemy's razor before shaving

Tony has 2nd's strops you can pick up cheaply if it's a money issue. I've been using one for about a year now and is doing me well.

I wouldn't want to either and recommend Tony again.

I don't agree with "leather is leather". Hamburger is meat. And so is a T-bone steak. I recommend getting a T-bone from Tony. I don't want my meat run through the grinder.

There is a big difference between a BAD strop and a Great strop, you won't go wrong with one of Tony's .

I think the answer to "Should I buy a Pakistani [razor, strop, set of bagpipes, sword, etc.]?" is almost always a resounding "NO!".

Seriously, for what you save, you'll just wind up buying a second of [item] that will actually work, instead of being a shoddy piece of junk.
