    Default chromium oxide

    hello everyone this could be a stupid question but i was wondering how to take off chromium oxide on a linen strop ,i was thinking soap and water but it could leave the strop green and all matted and fuzzy and suggestions??

    PS i used the chromium oxide spray from SRD

    Sorry but I would expect it to always have some crox left, no mater how well you clean it. If possible I would replace that component of the strop. But I have never tried it.

    ok thanks had a spot on top of the clean side tried to wipe it off with a damp paper towel and got a lot of it off, but i think i got to much on it, is that possible?

    Wtf chromium oxide every where I went and stroped my razor and there was chromium oxide powder every where, just a wild guess but I put way to much on.

    With pastes little is more. You need to watch that.

    You can try some cleaner to try and take some off or even soap and water and a scrub brush. You can never get it all off. it's an abrasive and as you use it it embeds itself into the cloth.
