A daily rubbing with your palm and the strop will respond to your liking. I think you would defeat the purpose of bridle leather by adding any conditioners at all. Just my 2 cents.

I have both English leather and latigo. love the English and just rub it with the hand and it does great.

Got the SRD English Bridle as an early Christmas gift. The draw is a lot different than the latigo I've been using for years. I haven't cut it yet It is making me slow down and watch my technique though. The consensus seems to be that oil from the palm of your hand is all the conditioning this strop needs. Any suggestions on how much rubbing and how often?

I've been doing the palm rubbing technique for years with great results. You want to make sure your hands are clean. You can do it daily if you like, a few times up and down. There's no set criteria...Enjoy
