This and many “Green” polishing paste sold in hardware stores and Woodworking Supplies are not pure Chrome Oxide but contain other abrasives to cut metal for polishing. They don’t even advertise it as Chromium Oxide, but as “Green Compound”…

More importantly the grit size is not uniform and may not be suitable for razor use.
Buy your Chrome Oxide from a reputable Straight Razor supplier. The cost difference is negligible.

I have a SRD stick that I will never use up. The Green Paste may work on your razor, may not… If it works for you, use it. I have pasted on all kinds of powders, some work some don’t.
Try pasting abrasive metal polish on leather, canvas or nylon, you will be surprised at the results… Mothers, Semi Chrome and MAAS.

    What counts is the shave.
