The cordovan strops are more than a Kanayama. Are they really that good. What is the draw and character of the cordovan?

    Default Bison Brand strop

I made an offer on a maroon shell cordovan on eBay, it was declined, now the listing ended immediately
I had been watching it for a while

Sorry you missed that one Shane.

I can attest to the Bison cordovan strop. Beautifully constructed, good looking and with modern designed strop hardware and fine leather working craftsmanship from Sebastian.

It was kind of just a spur of the moment offer But I'm kind of glad now since I have my nichiri pelican shell strop coming

I just reread this thread and realized I made a big mistake. I have a Bison latigo strop and not Sebastian's cordovan. I apologize to the members for my old age memory synapse failures : p The latigo is a superb piece of work and a fine strop.

Haha no problem. I'll keep my eye out. I have that pelican shell still in transit. I'm chomping at the bit to get it...
