I would venture a guess that the Nichiri Strop was made by the same man who makes the Kanayama strops.

When I visited him he said he made the Pelican ones too.

Very nice colour to your strop. Enjoy it in good health.

And those Aberdeen strops that pixelfixed posted are beautiful. A little jealous of those.

Very nice! I wiped my down and have only given a couple rubs but the color is evening out well and it's looking just fine. If the kids wouldn't end up using it as a jump rope I'd keep it out just to look at it

Thanks for that bit of info. I vaguely remember someone saying that same thing when I was researching this one. I will enjoy it!

Shane I think Seth is correct about your strop. Here are a few of the Kanoyama logo's
and many of these are still in use:

Not unusual, many made and exported.
Here is a link to Martin's store he is a seller of the Llama strops and one even older variation of Kanoyamas. I believe
Takeshi Aoki gets some of the other trademarks at times as well.

Was it a Llama Brand or was it made from Llama? I had one of those.

Still online auction in progress so I won't link... Llama brand Trademark with a similar graphic to the one that is on my #3 Kanayama but instead is a US Barber Supply/Co Strop
