Thanked: 171Still prefer a hanging strop - for weight and space reasons.
Unless I take a Feather AC on my 3 days or less trips, I put a hanging strop at the bottom of my suitcase where it cannot get creased.
Admittedly, on most trips I keep the 3" strop at home and take a smaller 1 3/4" one with me that takes virtually no space and weighs close to nothing.
The smaller size may be a small disadvantage when stropping, but is a big advantage when traveling.

Take a look at the offerings from Stropman. While I used an SRD and a Tony Miller at home, I didn't want to use either when traveling. I have a medium sized Stropman paddle strop that works perfect and is small enough to fit in any travel bag. One side is smooth leather and the other is suede with CROX. It wouldn't use it daily, but for travel it works awesome. I also do three or four super light strokes on the suede side after honing...
