Thread: Ordering a Scrupleworks Oil Tanned Horween Horsehide... pic request & thoughts

Great looking strop, I'm sure you'll be happy with it. I have an old C-mon Blackie I scored off the bay that I really like, smooth, no tooth. btw, sorry to hijack the thread, but does anyone know where horse shell can be acquired so that I might make my own strop? I've been looking for it of and on for a long time. I've tried to contact Horween but they never get back to me. Is this stuff somehow government controlled or something?

if you want horsebutt then zack white sells it but you have to take the entire strip. price is fair, shipping a little out but still worth the money, I got 2 2 1/2 inches and one 3 inch strop for about 10. a pop.
