Thread: Portland Razor Co. New Strop

I just bought a razor from PRC and all I can say is that it is exceptional! I have another "high end" straight that cost almost $100 more yet doesn't even come close in comparison.

Anyway, I haven't had the pleasure of sampling one of PRC's strops, but if their razors are any indication of the quality one could expect (which I'm sure it is), the strops will be equally exceptional. I kinda kick myself now that I didn't purchase one of their strops when I bought my razor - live and learn!

Anyway, that's my $0.02... If the design is similar to someone else's? Hey, it's a piece of leather and some bits of metal - the devil is in the details. It's not as if the straight razor is exactly the Mars rover - but even a simple thing done to perfection can be a work of love and a work of art.
