Lz6 and cuban. This is my first strop so i really didn't know if it was normal. I kind of thought it would correct itself.

No problem. You may want to give SRD a call today or Tuesday to discuss the issue and follow up by emailing your pictures to them. I do not know if they are open Monday or not.
You are dealing with a business that has an A+ reputation in the shaving community and they are customer service oriented.

I talked to SRD today on the phone and they asked me if I could feel the bumps when I ran my finger down the strop. I told them I could so they told me they would have a new one in the mail on Tuesday. You have to love gold service!!!

If you use an X stroke with that strop, will never be any issues, but you got it resolved, carry on

I do use an x stroke. How would this avoid the bumps? Just curious more than anything.

I dont think that theese small imperfections will affect the stroping results. I think that theleather surface at micro level is definitive for sucses and tecnique also. You could fix this by wetting the leather and press it between two pieces of glass and it will straighten beautifly. This buffalo strop looks amazing i like it and a hevy draw strops also .

At the price he payed he deserves the replacement. He should not have to do anything to a new strop to make it feel smooth and usable.

The mail man dropped off a package from SRD today. Inside was a new 3" leather strop. This thing looks like it was hand selected frome a premium piece of leather. There isn't much I like more than great service and SRD is top notch!
