Thanked: 24SRD 3" Bufallo. It is suposed to look like this?
My wife bought me a new SRD 3" (i think) bufallo strop for christmas. When I opened up the shipping package I noticed there was some wrinkels on the top half of the leather. This is my first strop so I dont know if that is normal and if it affects the edge of the razor. When I go over that section it feels like a mini washboard. Because of this I generaly only strop using the front 1/2 of the strop. This picture should give you an idea what the strop looks like. This is probably the worst section but there are two other sections in the far half of the strop that are similar. I kind of feel like I might have got a bad strop but wanted to make sure this wasnt normal before I contacted SRD. What do you think?

Hang it up, do some frquent palm rubbing on the strop, and chances are it will disappear. I have the 3" SRD Roo Strop and it had some anomalies like that simply from the shipping, disappeared after a few days.

Thanked: 24Phrank, I have been rubbing it every other day for about a month and a half. It hasn't gotten much better. Do you think it will with more time?

I would contact SRD and at least make them aware, and ask if it will affect the edge.

You have kept this strop for a month and one half and you are just now discussing this issue? Any item you purchase that does not seem to be as as it is represented to be should trigger you to call or email the vendor with your concerns in a timely fashion.
