    Hi and welcome to SRP.

    As has been said go with a more known supplier for paste. The strop looks like good quality and I am pretty sure that company has a good rep among the woodworking community which is more their target audience. Now those paste are actually made of the right materials but the grit/ microns in them is not regulated so you end up with .5 microns and 9 microns in the same block which is what makes it unsuitable for straight razors.

    That is a good point. I guess the price is reasonable taking into account the compounds.

    I'm actually going to hold onto it. Its some decent thick leather. Ill probably paste it up and try finishing knives with it..
