Thread: Found a good strop compound

Never used the KME brand only Kens’. You really do need a progression because the jump is so high, from say .50um Chrome Oxide to .10um. or I get micro chipping, the substrate makes a big difference.

I like .25um as a progression from .50um all CBN spray on a paper hanging strop. And you do have to be mindfull of pressure, most guys use too much. To knife guys it does not matter, they are after the look and the micro toothy edge.

Shaving on it you will feel it. .10 is a good maintenance paste, you can strop on it daily.
