Did you watch the video about the strop? It is hilarious. About the felt block that he uses to remove microscopic metallic dust bunnies from the razor's edge.

Thanked: 3795You did nothing wrong and pointed out a concern, so you were looking out for others. I think that your post was helpful. You are EXACTLY the kind of guy we (or at least I) want around here. I raised my concern, seeking a clarification of forum rules, for the same reason. I apologize to you personally for the ruckus I raised.

Thanks. I realize to those that have been around the block so to speak, that they recognized this was a bad choice but to me it was not so obvious. In fact, I had seen this strop recommended by a member to another but I'm not going to cite the thread or name names, thats not my style. So without further scrutiny and only $20 bucks I pulled the trigger. In hinesight I felt there should be a thread on this strop particularly for those interested and the choice not being obvious, so that they could make an informed decision. So in the end I suppose that goal has been meet by several in not so many words echoing this product was a joke and people should know better - atleast that was what I got out of it.
Insert witty statement here, T.B.D.

When it comes to razordom a really low price usually has a hidden cost.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
