    Thanks Bob!

And you are correct, the linen is narrower than the suede and cordovan.
But as I said, this one is much more pliable and softer than the one that came with my 10000. I have also done almost all of the suggested steps for the one on my 10000. And it is still more stiff than the new one.
I found it odd that they outsource their linen, but it's their choice I guess

I'll be using the new one in the morning, just have to figure out which razor to christen it with.......

Oh and it'll be coffee my friend. Quit drinking some years back.

Enjoy your new strop, it's a beauty. My everyday is the #70000, but once in a fortnight I use the #80000, just to give it a palm rub, bit of forehead oil on the hand does the trick, but it's a great strop. I gave up the booze years ago, so I can afford my jnats and Kanayama's!

I use my 90K as my daily strop. I'm not worried about signs of wear however I only use my Raven when the cows come home. Wear marks on that one is very upsetting.

    Well, I can say this.
That was a great strop to use this morning! I believe it is now my go to without question.
Just a great feel with the thicker Cordovan and not really any difference in glide than my 10000.
The Suede was also a real joy to use.

I know you're going to be very happy with your 80000, I'm sure there can't really be any difference

Y there's no difference other than length, and added second pre strop medium, stropping on the #3 is as good as the 90,000. Some even like the extra length, my self I only use about half of my strop, so shorter is better,

Now that Raven, that's a strop I could go out of pocket for, they just don't come up very often, I had one in my hand at Charlies, but Kyle never took his eye off of it! Tc

I just received a 70k yesterday, what a beautiful strop. I really enjoyed the extra thickness compared to the 10k. As everyone else agrees stropping is about the same on both the 10k and 70k. The same stiff Red Imp canvas piece with both. The suede piece however was very nice to strop on. Sales must be slowing down. I ordered on Friday night and received it on Monday and free shipping. How can you beat that? Now this Raven strop, Hmmm.

Indeed! +1... I think Takeshi San improved on his logistics.. i received my 80k a few days ago, i had already pre-ordered since he was out of 80K... he had communicated the strops tobe received on a thursday and i had my strops next monday already.. amazing!!! also, this strops is a piece of artwork... and even thicker than i expected... i know it says 4-5mm... mine is around 4.5mm (according caliper) but i didn't imagine how thick that felt on a strop ... the only thicker one i have is a vintage Ace High No2 (from Realedge) which is 5.3 mm thichk and i must say it's too thick for mi liking.. I I think this 4.5 mm is just perfect!!
