Thanked: 96Mastro Livi recommends using lighter fluid on toilet tissue. Lightly rub one way until the total leather is covered and the dirt removed. His skin he uses is very fragile and there is no problem with the surface after using it. I then rub the leather with my palm. I also use the same method on his linen coated with chromium oxide. I mentioned it to Don at SRD and he to was amazed how good it worked. Lighter fluid evaporates very quickly with no residue left.

I'm sure you guys know this already but lighter fluid is Naptha and you can get really refined Naptha way cheaper than buying a little can of ronsinol lighter fluid. Just a little fyi in case your curious. Great stuff as a all purpose degreaser and thinner.
Don't drink and shave!
