    Default Pegasus 3x30

Anyone have good experience with these strops? I want to pick up one buy have no experience with the strop that doesn't use a D-Ring/Handle. Do you lay it on the counter or just grab where you see fit as it hangs? 30 inches is pretty long

The kanayama strops are the same way. You just hold on to the end of the leather. Handles are nice, but not necessary. I wouldn't recommend laying it flat on a surface. It's meant to be hung so that you can apply pressure to make it taught. Pegasus is a top of the line brand.

Are you talking "The Raven? If so I have one of those.

You pay for the fact it's black Cordovan bonded to leather.

All strops do the same thing no magic. If you are someone who wants the best there is then that's the ticket in strops. I thought they stopped making them because it's so hard to source unless you are buying the one on the BST here.

The strop is on the stiff side-very much so and it doesn't really soften up but that's the nature of cordovan.

I to looked at their strop awhile back but 30" is just wasted material for me, beautiful strops though.

Yeah I believe it's just premium horsehide on the imperial 1s, the retail is 250 on them, Imperial 2s and up a little more toward 300 marked as cordovan

Of course I'd be paying nowhere near retail so Imo it's a great buy if the brand permits

dont let a nice strop without a handle stop you. just tap some holes in the end and install your own d-rings. i love my kanayamas ... once i add d-rings.

I love my Pegasus strop I own the Imperial No2 an it’s great. If I had the money I would pick up the Raven that is for sale in our classifieds because it’s actually the one I wanted when I found mine I just couldn’t pass it up for just under $100.
