    From left, the 3rd and 5th came in plastic advertising Red Imp strops, razors, and shears....
    I hadn’t noticed before, but is the butterfly clasp in brass a tell that the strop is one of those special ones? If it is, I have one and didn’t know it.

    AFAIK, the hardware you speak of is unique to Naomi-San's strops.

    I have recently sanded it with 1000 grit wet/dry to get rid of some nicks and dents and lightly applied some neatsfoot oil to restore the surface.

    It is very supple and has a light draw.

    I always thought it felt like a really good strop.

    My dad bought it about 60 years ago. He used a DE and never owned a straight, so I think he bought it as a disciplinary tool even though he never used it for that either ; )
