Hands down, no BS, the Artisan.

No contest, hand-made artistry vs. mass produced sweat-shop strop*, TM wins by first round knock out.
*I have not factual information regarding the production of Dovo strops but I will admit I might be biased as I love my TM strop.

Thanked: 4What's that, a "TKO"?!!!! Artisan wins in less time it took to finish hearing the fighters!! hahaha Truth is, I don't own either one... But I'm buying one from Tony just as soon as he's back from the Holidays.
Plus, it looks like he makes them customized to your likings, whatever they may be. I have only read good things about his work, I have seen the images of what he produces myself and overall I agree with everyone else. It's a calling for one's skill and passion versus buying from a "strop mill." - Not to be harsh on those who may own other brands, I'm sure others do a great job.
I have fun! I can't wait until 4 January (site says that's when he'll be producing again).

Thanked: 530I have been a HUGE fan of Mr. Miller's Artisan Strop (I have the 3" latigo and a 3" horsehide) and love them... However, earlier today, I visited Mr. Lynn Abram's house, and he gave me a trial of his English Bridal strop... OH. SWEET. STROPPING. GOD. That thing drew like a magnet, and was smooth as silk.. It's AMAZING what those guys have done... And the Nylon side worked excellently! And, to boot, it costs the same -or less, depending on model- as the Artisan... Hell, I played with his Bridal about 7 hours ago, and have already ordered one of my own! It was a BEAUTIFUL piece of strop.
Go with the bridal. You will NOT regret it.
