    Default Pasting strops?

I purchased the English bridle strop from Lynn and some Chromium Oxide. I put the chromium oxide on the linen strop. Do I apply it to the Leather also? How often do I reapply the Chromium Oxide to either strop?

    Thank you,
    Dale.

Don't apply to the leather. The paste is an abrasive that should not be used daily but used occasionally as a touch-up. It performs almost like a very high-grit (fine) hone.

Assuming the leather and linen are hung from the same piece of hardware, you should probably remove and reverse the linen as you do want to use the linen, but unpasted, on a daily basis -- first the linen then the leather -- to get a good edge just before the shave.
