I dont think that would really work so well..! I guess thats why we're all still using strops and not something that looks like a prop from Naughty Cheerleaders Part II.

I agree with both A and B, but back when I was a fire bug, I found strike every where matches ignited very well when struck against glass, so there must be some level of abbrasion to a marble. However, it probably isn't enough to work on a razor. Not to mention the concave bevel you brought up.

Really very similar to some of the hand held knife sharpeners they have now just that they don't use marbles. They use abrasive disks.
