I am going into the marble and wire business. I swear I think I can make some money at $32 for something absolutely useless! Does anyone want to invest in my new business?

Remember glass Lilycaps? They work for DE blades.

I dont think that would really work so well..! I guess thats why we're all still using strops and not something that looks like a prop from Naughty Cheerleaders Part II.

I agree with both A and B, but back when I was a fire bug, I found strike every where matches ignited very well when struck against glass, so there must be some level of abbrasion to a marble. However, it probably isn't enough to work on a razor. Not to mention the concave bevel you brought up.

    A. Marbles aren't exactly abrasive.

    B. Marbles are round - assuming there was some cutting power here, wouldn't it create a concave bevel?

No, I don't think I would ever let a gadget like this in the same room as any of my razors, let alone within arm's reach!

Heck, take a coat hanger, and a couple marbles and make your own...who needs to spend $40 when you can make one for about 5¢

Really very similar to some of the hand held knife sharpeners they have now just that they don't use marbles. They use abrasive disks.
