Thread: anyone ever heard of this gadget??

And if so would you let it within arms reach of your cheapest daily shave razor?? As far as I can tell it's just two marbles held together by a wire frame...

I don't get it...

A. Marbles aren't exactly abrasive.

B. Marbles are round - assuming there was some cutting power here, wouldn't it create a concave bevel?

No, I don't think I would ever let a gadget like this in the same room as any of my razors, let alone within arm's reach!

i would think the edge angle would be off, might work for a knife or something. unless im way off and the edge's are the same degree on razors and knives??

but no i wouldnt use it you can get a strop cheaper

$32 is not bad for 2 marbles and some wire. many barber hones sell for less.

looks like its supposed to work using pressure to align the edge

i think id rather remove the marbles straighten it a bit and try it as a bbq pinshers/clamp

If you BBQ the marbles you'll lose them!

While the theory sounds good, if it really worked I think Lynn would be using marbles and wire to put that final edge on his razors. The rest of us would, too.

It would make an interesting conversation piece, however, and I also think it looks pornographic, but my mind is always in the gutter.
