When I saw the cloth strop that was a giveaway. Very distinctive weave and color he uses.

Wow, beautiful strop, Glen. I love the detail on the hardware. I've been looking for a vintage strop just because I love the attention to detail that could be found on the hardware.

Sorry to bring up this old thread but I really like what I see there!
I am in the market for a substitute to my old Dovo Strop to accompany my Kanayama Llama that I love very much.
Would you mind telling me something about the surface of this strop?
Is it velvety, or slick and smooth like the Llama?
