    Default Holding the Kanayama?

I noticed the Kanayama strops have no D rings or paddle handles which most of us are use to. So what is the proper way to hold it? Also do you get the longer model to make holding it easier?Or do you drill some holes in it and put a D ring in your 350.00 strop Heee Heeeee Heeee

    Few videos here.
Some of them show you the way. I do love barber ends on a strop.

Back in the old days 99% of pro barber strops were squared off on the end. Here is a good thread on holding that type of strop with some pics on the second page.

Those grips will help keep the surface flat. I just pinch mine though. It doesn't cause any problem with either the TM or HA.

I have some vintage barber strops with no d rings on the end, I just hold it between my thumb and forefinger...Whatever works for you....

I do like the Tony Miller method too...

REAL strops have no sissy holders on them. They put those on to look pretty and make it too easy for you.

Notice the fabric strop that comes with the Kanayama has a holder at the bottom but the leather does not because that's the way it's supposed to be.

You just hold the strop at the bottom.
