how high is your strop?
Well now, that all depends on how much I give it to drink.
The top is at about my solar plexus.Last edited by JMS; 08-27-2010 at 01:11 AM.

Hi,
I use my strop from a Door handle. It is a little higher than countertop height.

Thanked: 1195My strop anchor is screwed underneath my bathroom countertop, and I hold the handle barely above waist level. Overall it is usually sloped about 20-30 degrees. Very much personal preference, like everything else in this hobby.

Mine clips to the towel holder in the bathroom, on the middle shelf. It also sits about at the solar plexus height.

Thanked: 5I went the route of a paddle strop to learn on. It's at whatever height and angle I want!

Mine hangs up high to keep them out of the reach of my dogs but when i strop, i hang them on the high hat of my drum kit. So i guess they are about chest high and level when i strop.

My strop is chin high. I prefer it about waste height but I got drunk one night and bored a hole in the wall too high, so there it stays.

I hook mine onto a doorknob with a zip tie so it is waist high for me. I strop like the old barbers I saw as a kid. Handle slightly higher than the hook so it is sloping down a bit.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
