I hung my strop at waist level in my bedroom. Perfect positioning. It works just fine.

The hanger is about nose high. The top of the strop is about shoulder high so I do not extend above straight arm high while stropping.

Thanked: 267I like my strops just slightly above my waist. I mounted a plate to the wall.

The eyehook for all my strops is at my belly button, then i pull the strop off to my left 8-12 inches and slightly up. Works for me>

Tossed a carabiner on a towel rack in the bathroom... I hook my strops onto it for use and then off to a dryer room for storage.
The rack is a touch above waist height and results in a fairly "flat" stroke.

Eventually I'm going to have to buy my own place, as I live in a rental, so I can mount a hanging strop

I have them attached to the wall at about 180cm. About 5' 10".
Starting out I didn't know what would be appropriate, so I figured that height would be right for me. Now I'm so used to it, so that's where they'll stay.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....
