i might actually try this decently soon since being a newb i have defiantly put some nicks in this one, still don't feel confident enough yet to replace it now though.

If you apply any paste apply the finest sub-micron
paste you can find. Like 0.25micron... and not
too much when you do. . .
. . . DO NOT apply any abrasive paste to your leather strop !
Pasted strops are wonderful, but you need one _plain leather strop_, and it should be your _best_ leather strop.
Classic Shaving has a pretty good reputation on this site; whatever they sell should be OK.

Thanked: 62Don't be afraid of narrower strops. The X stroke is really not difficult to learn at all. Since there is a good chance you will nick up your first strop anyway you may as well learn the X stroke while you are at it.
