Thanked: 50If the linen and leather side don't have sharpeningpaste, like crox, you can't overstrop. just remember to use no pressure at all. also remember that the linen side is a little abrasive and can blunt the edge a little, but depends on how coarse it is.
If you think your shaves are getting worse because of stropping, sharpen tba razor and try different amounts of stropping on linen.

As Brickbag says, as long as the strop isnt pasted (and you dont miscue) you cant overstrop.
thebigspendur did an experiment a while back and found that more than 30 fabric and 60 leather strokes before each shave didnt really yield any more benefit. So thats what I do! And I do 15 fabric and 30 leather afterwards to make sure the edge is clean and dry.
After honing I do 50 fabric and 100 leather just to eke out that last little bit of smooth from the edge.

Thanked: 993I do plenty of laps, simply because I like the feel of stropping. I love to just go on the SRD premium 1. To me, it has the perfect draw. I'll save up three or 4 razors from the week, and just spend 20 minutes on sunday afternoon stropping.
I now consistently do 35 fabric, and 30 PIV, and however many I like on the PI.
