Thanked: 4But did you really survive Mr Zib,those dots at the end of your sentence lead me to believe you may of been tainted, those evil tendrils of conveniance leave a mark on your soul. I borrowed my brothers shaver once when on a trip for I forgot to take my straight and the giddy feeling of abandon, of being able to wave this machine around my face without any fear of being wounded horribly, I almost succumbed and to this day I still hear the faint call of the beautiful sirens and must be mindful to keep myself lashed to the mast,

Yes, I did..I was going to visit my newly born Granddaughter, so my mind was everywhere, If I had taken a straight, I surely would have forgotten something...
The Electric razor, (gifted from gf) sits alone, in the back of a draw in my bathroom vanity, collecting dust....We have assumed control !

Thanked: 443I recently tried a midshave touchup on my frictionite instead of the strop, and it made it sharper but a lot harsher. Then I remembered that the seller had finished that razor on a Charnley Forest. D'Oh! Farewell, sweet edge!
You can get a new coticule at The Superior Shave for what I've seen some vintage barber's hones sell for. That would give you a lot more range than a barber's hone, I think.
I've packed a hone for trips, but it was only there in case I hit the edge on a sink or something."These aren't the droids you're looking for." "These aren't the droids we're looking for." "He can go about his business." "You can go about your business."
