Modular Strop not listed on Straight Razor Designs
Hey Guys,
I went to Straight Razor Designs looking for the Modular Paddle Strop and it's not listed anymore. I would'nt think that its been taken off the list of items being sold. I sent an email asking the site if they are just out of stock or if it was discontuined. I sent it on the 10th and havent heard anything back yet. I probley will hear something from them shortly, It has only been 4 days. Does anyone know if its still there and just out of stock?

IIRC when an item is out of stock SRD removes it from the web listing. Keep your eye out for it and I'm sure they will have more coming in. Worth the wait.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 62Absolutely worth the wait. Had mine for a month or
so and love it! Been reccomending it to all my buddies. The ones who don't use a straight get a blank expression on their face but the ones who do are saving up for one. Hee hee

thanks, also what is the difference between the .5 diamond and .5 chromium oxide spray/paste? or do they pretty much do the same thing? and is it worth going all the way to .25 spray?

CAN OF WORMS ALERT!!!! lol
No, it's not really a can of worms. It's a personal preference thing. Eventually, you'll try all 3. The CrOx spray/paste and the .5 Diamond spray are the same grit (sorry for the obvious). The diamond works and "cuts" faster than the CrOx but the CrOx many feel leaves a smoother edge. (In a microscope the diamonds are .5mic squares and the CrOx is .5mic spheres.)
The .25 diamond is a love it or hate it affair. Some guys like the extra "crispness" some think it creates a sharp but harsh edge.
CrOx is the old-faithful traditional standby.
Like I said, eventually you'll have to try all 3. We're a curious breed.
