    Default Hess Hair Milk Strop

Anyone have experience with a Hess Hair Milk "KEENE EDGE" Silk Finish strop? I bought two of them from Chris L. quite some time ago and have just started using one of them for my occasional mid-shave stropping follwed by 25 laps on an English Bridle strop.

The English Bridle has been my go-to strop for some while but used in combination with the Hess Hair Milk, I am getting the best mid-shave refreshed edge I have ever achieved. I was palm-stropping at mid-shave for about one year but the Hess strop definitely does a better job.

I am wondering if anyone else ever uses one. I don't think I have ever seen a post about a Hess.

I regret missing out on that opportunity. I definitely would have bought one. It seems that everything Hess put their name on was high quality.

I have a couple of canvas strops that are identical to the one in the picture. I have been than happy with them.

I bought one of those when he was selling them. It replaced an old warn out linen on one of my vintage strops. It is by far my favorite strop before leather.

I have one, they are very nice. Actually refreshes an edge. I replaced my linen on my Kanyama 70000 with a Hess "Keene Edge". The hole is centered perfect.

I have a few of them with hardware. I use one treated with .50 diamond spray. Works great. They're good strops....

I am not sure what kind of coating is on the fabric from the Hess factory but I have found that I have been able to wash off any paste or spray that I have applied to the Hess strop.

I recently was able to remove every bit of a CrOx paste that I had applied to one of my Hess strops using just regular liquid dish detergent.
The strop is in like-new condition.

I have also cleaned up some used DublDuk linen strops using Woolite.
Works like a charm.............I have some .5 and .25 diamond spray and will give those a try in the near future. Let the fun continue.....
