Thread: finding strop bits in the UK?

Hi there was just wondering where I could get D-rings and everything else needed for making a hanging strop in the UK.

I have a 3 inch piece of English Bridle that I want to make into a strop but I can't find any of the parts i need.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try local saddlery. However to get 3" D rings will be hard. Perhaps a bit of machining? Rivets there also othervise local craft shop.

I've tried to find even clamps for strops but, they aren't easily available in the UK for some reason on or offline and there aren't many saddleries close by, nearest one might be 20 miles away from me, at a guess.

The best source for this stuff is eBay, veeery big choice.
