Thanked: 270I've gotten a lot better with stropping for a couple of reasons. Your video didn't make me think a Roo strop would take fewer laps to get the job done, it was just enjoyable to watch you using it and it generated a desire to join in on the fun. (I needed that because I had gotten pretty discouraged with stropping in general.) The other reason was that I was under the impression that there was only one way to do it. Lynn Abrams sent me a PM assuring me that this wasn't the case, and since then I've become more relaxed and able to slow down. The funny thing about it is that it was only after reading his note that I was able to do it the way I had been trying to do it. So I thank both of you guys for getting me over my biggest obstacle in straight shaving. Sometimes when a member takes the time to make a video or pass along a note there is an unintended benefit that really helps.
I might start using that Roo strop pretty soon. I've been using that Big Daddy budget strop for about three months and it is in great shape.
In the meantime, I have a dog that is part Australian Shepherd. I guess there's a little Aussie in me...
