*UPDATE*
I received my STD Mod Paddle Strop yesterday . I got an extra felt and .50 &.25 diamond spray. What a quality product this Paddle is. A lot of thought and ingenuity went into it. I treated two of the felts with the sprays. I let dry for 8 hours and when I came home from work I took the two razors I have here and did 8 laps on the .50 and 8 on the .25 then moved to the regular felt doing 50 passes and then to the leather doing 100 passes. I then lathered up for a shave......... HOLY SH*T!!!! the absolute closest shave of my life!!!! At first I didn't even feel the razor cutting the hair. It glided so smooth I thought I was doing something wrong!!! All I cans say is WOW!!

Thanked: 993The rough leather or felt (unadulterated) can be used in place of the linen component of a hanging strop. So you'd do your scrub leather first or felt first, and the follow it with the Premium I leather or IV leather (whichever you received with your strop).

Thanked: 2027This thread got me to rummaging around the shop, found an old mahogany table leg, turned it on the lathe, cut the good part out of a trashed strop and re-finished it,some seatbelt webbing out of my long gone pontiac GTO,a little contact cement, tomorrow some CROX,Diamond spray, maybe a pce or two of heavy felt.
sorta hokey but I think she may work. And the wife wonders why I never throw anything out
