Thanked: 2027Well, I wanted a loom strop.
So I made one to my specs,Found a source for 2x48 continuous tanned and finished steerhide,(they also carry 72 in.) are for some sort of Knife sharpening machine.
Wanted it 24 long so this worked perfect, one side I will paste with Crox, the other.who knows, maybe just use it as a strop,is not for travel, stays in the shop.
All the fittings are real lignum Vitae (scrap) central threaded shaft, two guide bars.
Was actually quite alot of work but a good time had by all

Man! Thats nice. Half the strokes should be required! You certainly do fine work in all you do. Kudos!
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 1262Nice work. Does not look like the typical DIY strop at 24" that thing could be used as a weapon.
