StarShavingSupplies Latigo Strop
I just purchased a Star Shaving Supplies 3" "Big Daddy" Strop. It looks like a really nice strop. Has anyone had experience with them, or used one of their strops? I haven't actually used it yet (conditioning it) It is a nice piece of leather, with a felt strop as well. The construction is really sturdy and well done.

I bought the big momma 2 1/2" english bridle leather. I'm very happy with it. But I didn't do any conditioning. I just rub it with my hand and go. Funny thing though. My beginner strop was 2" and I think I like that width better than the wider one. No idea why - the motion just felt more natural somehow. If I ever have to replace my current strop I think I'll look for a 2".

I own a few star shaving strops and use them all, very nice and for me, always on a budget, the price is more affordable than say a Kanayama or similar strop.
Sounds like a good pushase on your part, don't over condition the leather, just as the man said, rub with you hand before stroping and go!!! I get very keen edges from my str8's whith these strops, go slow at first, speed comes later, tight hold on handle also helps.
Good luck mate, and have a great shave on me!!

Thanks guys, I am glad so many people are happy with this. Like I said the strop looks great, and I am considering purchasing another except in the black.
As far as purchasing before asking, I really needed a strop and this was the mid level (affordable) strop that didn't have me razing an eyebrow, like so many that you see on ebay.
