    Question Your favorite conditioning?

What is your favorite way to condition, soften, and increase flexibility/suppleness? I would like to hear what products and methods you prefer for different leather types. If it's just using the oils from your palm or other oils, soaps (lather), lotions, paste conditioners. So lets hear your favorite conditioner and method of application.

Hand-rubbing is what I use on mine, be it vintage or new.
I've done a once-over on a couple vintage when they first arrived, but that's about it.
The product I used for that was something called Strahldur leather balm.

Hand rubbing for me as well.

I've used Illinois strop dressing on my Illinois strop a couple times, but that's it.

Hand rubbing on all my strops has worked perfectly be they cowhide, horsehide or roo or any variations on those leathers.

I'm in a little different situation because I live in single digit humidity so everything dries out. I used to use Bick Conditioner and then switched to neatsfoot Oil. I like the palm idea but as you will all find out as you age natural oils decrease to almost nothing.

    Hand rubbing and only that.

I ruined a beautiful strop trying other methods. I've kept 6 in great condition with hand rubbing.

I accidently used lanolin once and gave me the best shave ever! Now I occasionally will rub in some lanolin as well as just hand rubbing.

I also hand rub with my palm only, but that is after I lather the crap out of the strop first.
