Default How to secure handing strop?

I just bought a brand new Dovo Gentlemen from SRD and before my second shave while stropping the strop popped off the plastic hook I was using and now my razor has five nicks in the blade even though I kept it in hand the whole time.

I would like to avoid this in the future and am looking for a way to secure my hanging strop. I purchased a paddle strop but do not like it one bit.

I cannot use any kind of drills or anything that would be permanent.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

I use zip ties, available at Home Depot or hardware and electrical supplies, on a door knob.

I use the middle hinge on the door and pop the pin up an inch or so and hook it on there. That's always worked great for me.

I use a piece of cord tied in a loop and attach it to the towel bar with a larks head

I found a stud behind the bathroom door. Drilled a pilot hole and used a eye screw. Something that looks like the link below.

I unscrewed a screw and made a ring out of a piece of my shortened bike handlebar, very secure!

Jimmy has the same setup I started with, I used a strip of velcro instead and secured it to the door knob of my bed room, I didnt want the humidity in the bathroom to damage my strop.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

Easy to remove and patch with a touch of drywall patch mud.

I used a drill and a large dry wall anchor. Then I bought some threaded rod, a large brass ring and a draw knob a little larger than the ring, and put it all together. (I also bought some spackle for when I move out of my rented apartment )
